1) I shit on myself
thinking I’ll find some magic
equanimity
2) scats lie all about
they’re part of the pulchritude,
compassion’s nature
3) nature’s compassion
feeds our omnivorous souls
bananas and prunes

while sitting on the cushion
someone’s fast asleep
